Certificates are issued through the official SSG system and are valid at all construction sites nationwide.
Most WSQ safety certifications are valid for 2–3 years depending on the specific course. Work-at-Height competency cards expire after 2 years and require refresher training for renewal. ECO (Engineering Control Officer) certifications are valid for 2 years and require 24 SDU points for renewal. Check your certificate for the exact expiry date.
WSH Officers are required for workplaces with 50+ employees and have broader responsibilities including implementing safety management systems. WSH Coordinators assist Officers in workplaces with 25–49 employees. Both roles require WSH Professional qualifications, but Officers require higher-level certification and experience.
