Safety Courses You Need to Work in Construction

These are the main safety certificates required by MOM for construction workers in Singapore. All courses include theory and hands-on practice.

Construction Safety Orientation Course

Course Code: CSOC

The basic safety course all construction workers must complete before starting work. Learn about common hazards, PPE use, and your legal rights at work.

Singapore citizens and PRs get up to 70% funding from SkillsFuture. Here's what you actually pay.

For PRs

70% SkillsFuture Funding

Permanent Residents get the same 70% funding as citizens. Bring your PR card on the first day of class.

For Foreign Workers

Full Course Fee Applies

Work Permit and S Pass holders pay the full fee. Your employer may sponsor your training or claim under the Skills Development Fund.

Age & Education

  • At least 18 years old
  • No formal education required
  • Can read basic English or Mandarin
  • Physically fit for construction work

  • NRIC or Work Permit (original)
  • Safety boots (for practical sessions)
  • Payment or SkillsFuture Credit details
  • Contact phone number

Important: Course Certificate Validity

CSOC certificates are valid for 2 years. You must renew before expiry to keep working legally. We send reminder SMS before your certificate expires.
